Caroline's cubs were born on the 4th of April and her activity patterns have switched to higher diurnal than nocturnal readings.  Her preferred time to be active was again in the early mornings  and it is noticeable how much her activity slowed down when she approached the den site for rest after the day's hunting forays.  The possibility exists that she would stay with the cubs at night to protect them against other predators which also prefer to roam around at night time.  When found during early mornings she was almost always out hunting and returned to the den site at sunset.
