This month's activity graph shows the more typical leopard activity patterns with higher nocturnal than diurnal movements, peaking around sunset and sunrise. Caroline continued to be slightly more active than Steffie during the mid-day hours and Steffie has been hyper-active from 16:45 onwards as can be seen from the massive spike in her activity around sunset. The areas under the graphs total up to 5905 for Caroline and 6950 for Steffie, so Steffie has been 17.67% more active than Caroline. The lower density of suitable prey species in Steffie's home range, coupled with the higher spotted hyena density could possibly account for this higher activity shown by Steffie.
